Net Washing

All net washing services are performed at our approved, land-based net cleaning facility. We use environmentally friendly “green” washing technology that is safe for nets and the environment. Future Nets promotes the safety of the region’s fisheries by employing an approved hot water disinfection process for killing deadly pathogens and the infectious salmon anemia (ISA) — a virus deadly to the region’s salmon stock. This process has proven safe and non-destructive for nets.

We offer two-day turnaround times for washing and disinfecting. Full net services are usually completed within three to five days.

For biosecurity reasons, we have a separate entrance and storage area for foul nets. All our net washers are fully protected and outfitted with the proper gear and equipment to ensure their safety.

Net Repairs and Replacements

All repairs are performed by a two-man team that has years of net repair experience. Prior to each repair, we perform break testing to ensure the integrity of the net. We will also inspect every square inch of the net before giving it the “all clear.”

If it is not practical to have the net repaired, we can offer you a free quote on the replacement cost. We have over 23 years of experience in providing expert net repairs. Before your net is packaged and shipped, we perform a final inspection to make sure no additional repairs are necessary.

Net Manufacturing

Future Nets sources all our own netting materials in order to manufacture nets designed for New Brunswick’s demanding open-water fishing environments. All products come from world-class suppliers and are custom manufactured by some of the best craftsmen in the industry.

Some of the features of our net manufacturing process include:

  • Sewing Machine-Stitched Nets — Sewing machine-stitched nets provide tighter stitching and stronger binding. There are also time and cost-savings benefits to consider when choosing this method.
  • Quality Checks — We have quality checks at every stage of the construction process, including a final check before the product leaves our facility.
  • Your Specifications — All our netting materials are designed to meet your specifications, including DuPont® nylon Raschel knotless netting (1/4” to 12”), as well as braided and twisted HDPE netting (2-3/8”, 8” to 12”).

Additional details include:

  • Knotless Netting — Nylon, Polypropylene, Polyester, Dyneema (1” - 10”)
  • Shade Nets/Shade Cloth for up to 70% UV Protection

We can also supply Dyneema® Ultra Cross®-constructed netting upon request.

Net Storage

We offer seasonal net storage services. Each net is segregated and stored separately for each customer. Tracking information is maintained on each net. Future Nets also itemizes all processes performed on the net for internal record keeping. We also work closely with customers to ensure their nets are delivered on time, every time.
